Mr. Tarras is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida.

In addition to operating his own practice, Mr. Tarras is a consultant to several local practitioners.

Mr. Tarras’s education and experience allow him to help our clients through the maze of tax and accounting quagmires.  His education and experience allow Mr. Tarras to prepare, plan, and analyze the problems and transactions that our clients bring to us, no matter the complexity or dollar amount.

Mr. Tarras begin his accounting career in January of 1985 in Denver, Colorado where he was employed in the tax department of the then 12th largest accounting firm in the United States.

In August of 1986 Mr. Tarras relocated to Fort Myers, FL where he was a tax specialist for a local public accounting firm.  He prepared and reviewed individual, corporate, fiduciary, estate, and partnership returns.

In January of 1991, Mr. Tarras began his tenure with the Internal Revenue Service as a revenue agent in the Fort Myers, FL office.  He was what most people know as an auditor.  He examined tax returns for individuals and businesses. 

Mr. Tarras spent the last 8 years of his I.R.S. career with the Large Business and International division of the I.R.S. examining returns of individuals and business entities with assets or income greater than $10,000,000, including many public companies.  He regularly encountered and resolved very complex tax and accounting issues.

Mr. Tarras graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting.

Mr. Tarras received a Master of Science, with an emphasis in federal taxation from Colorado State University.  He wrote his thesis on Grantor Trusts.

Mr. Tarras’s education and unique experience allow him to serve his clients and the community well.  He understands tax issues as only a former insider can.
